It’s never been more clear to me that attitude is everything.
I can always find many things to be grateful for. It is gratitude that carries me to happiness. Making a gratitude list has rescued me from despair, discouragement, loneliness and the like. It’s medicine for self-pity.
I can always find many things to complain about. I can choose to be disgruntled. That’s a silly way to live. We only get so much time. I want to enjoy mine!
I can choose to live in happiness. It should be an easy choice! I haven’t always had this clarity. I’m so grateful to be grateful!

It’s incredibly powerful! I’ve gone from really low to really content just by making the list. I’ve written quite a few. Sometimes I just do it in my head. Writing is good! Maybe I’ll do one here…..

Great thoughts…and your so right…there will always be sooo many things to be upset or disgruntled about. Choose to be content regardless of the situation or circumstance and life will work out a whole lot better

It is a choice, and because it is our choice we are grateful for that as well.
Excellent post.

I encourage people to include in their journal things they are grateful for. Actually expressing a daily gratitude is supposed to increase one’s sense of well being.

I admire your upbeat look at life and whatever it throws at you. That’s a wonderful way to see the world.
